4th Of July Fun

Lopez Island fireworks

Hope everyone is enjoying summer. Lisa and I and most of my crazy family had a fun holiday on Lopez Island for the 4th. Since I couldn't work with clay, I ended up looking up and creating links to a couple hundred more ceramics artists - some cool stuff!

The Taj Ma-small

This is Lisa's cabin, fondly known as "The Taj Ma-small". The thoughtful deer are helping clean up some fallen brush in front.

Lisa carrying Lucy

Our dumb mutt started limping like a drunk one-legged spider, so Lisa carried her down our little gravel road to home, where we found a thorn in her foot and pulled it out - at which point she jumped up and wanted to fetch sticks fetch sticks fetch sticks, like usual.

And Now For Something Completely Different

I had a manure fork instead of a pitchfork, which evidently had a longer handle than what Wood's model was holding. We had to do some shenanigans to get it down low enough - maybe Wood did too.
